The FINESSE research project: our contribution to vehicle security

What Yekta IT contributes to the FINESSE consortium: attack detection for road and rail, from the sensor in the vehicle to the security operations centre of the operator.

FINESSE, automotive and railway security, Yekta IT

As transport becomes more digital and more connected, the case for solid cybersecurity work gets stronger. In the FINESSE project, short for "Fahrzeug Intrusion Detektion und Prävention in einheitlicher Struktur für Straße und Schiene" (vehicle intrusion detection and prevention in a unified structure for road and rail), we work on security solutions that cover both. The aim is to improve the security of critical infrastructure and vehicle fleets.

Our role and our goals in FINESSE

We contribute our specialist knowledge to security strategies that hold for road and rail alike. Our focus is a framework for intrusion detection and for preventing attacks before they reach the vehicle, so that transport systems stay reliable and safe.

Where our expertise sits

Our work in rail and automotive security and in security monitoring is what we bring to the project. It lets us build security operations centres and sharpen attack detection with machine learning. We also use what we know from offensive security to build better defences.

Implementation and development

Outlook and continued involvement

Our work in FINESSE is one step towards better security in the mobility sector. We intend to use the results of our research and development to help shape standards for transport security and to apply them widely.

Our commitment to the future of transport security

Taking part in FINESSE is part of how we work on the security and reliability of modern transport systems. With what we know and what we build, we contribute to the cybersecurity problems the mobility sector faces today.
